This body of work is a depiction of the uneasy process of finding oneself, and the emotions that come alongside it. I’ve taken inspiration from my own personal struggles with depression, anxiety, and identity, as well as the character Michael from the Broadway musical “Be More Chill”—especially his song titled “Michael in the Bathroom”. The installation overwhelms the viewer with a space that depicts the impacts of being in a room with yourself for too long, and the impacts of over-analyzing every aspect of yourself.
